Using open-source audio editing software and highly annotated editing practices, it is possible to find practical solutions to such essential questions. We argue that through feminist-based approaches to editing, we can create different types of listening experiences for researchers while maintaining important consent practices. This Tech Talk presents a selection of practice-based examples I have developed based on research done with Dr. Deanna Fong and Dr. Karis Shearer on feminist ethics in the literary audio archive.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sarah Cipes is a SpokenWeb Graduate Research Assistant and a second-year PhD student in the IGS Digital Arts &amp; Humanities theme. Her research combines audio digitization, feminist technoscience and humour philosophy.
