Curated Close Listening with Dr. Klara du Plessis w/ Introduction by Dr. Karis Shearer

Please join for an informal session of listening and discussion of sound and poetry. Postdoctoral fellow, Dr. Klara du Plessis, will lead a Curated Close Listening session based on her newly released, fourth poetry collection, Post-Mortem of the Event. In this work, the process of poetic composition mobilizes audiovisual media, transcription, waveform visualization, and digital humanities and interdisciplinary methods. This discussion-based listening event will showcase the intersection of creative and scholarly practices.
