Tech Talk #1: Launch of Making Digital Humanities Data Public: A Data Primer!

September 13, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Free: Register via Eventbrite

Join us for the launch of the Data Primer: Making Digital Humanities Research Public!

In March 2019, the AMP Lab hosted a Tech Talk called “Making Research Data Public: An Open Workshop on SpokenWeb Research Creation” by Felicity Tayler and Marjorie Mitchell. It was followed in May 2021 by the SSHRC-funded workshop “Making Research Data Public: Workshopping Data Curation for Digital Humanities Projects” at University of Ottawa (online). Now the resulting Data Primer, co-authored by over 30 Digital Humanists, RAs, and data professionals, is ready to be launched into the world and we’re excited to have Felicity Tayler (UOttawa) back at UBCO, together with Marjorie Mitchell (UBCO) and Karis Shearer (UBCO). Join us for a presentation of the primer and a reception to follow.

This will be a hybrid event: in the AMP Lab (Fipke 251, UBC Okanagan) with masks required or attend online. A zoom link will be circulated the day before to all those registered.
