Sepideh is a multidisciplinary artist and designer, with a PhD in Digital Arts and Humanities from the University of British Columbia (UBCO). Her PhD research, supervised by Dr. Hussein Keshani, focused on using digital and multimodal lenses to reinterpret Persianate gardens as interconnected architectural heritage beyond political borders. Sepideh currently works part-time as a Visual Conceptualizer and Design Specialist with the Digital Archaeology Research Environment, and as a Research and Communication Assistant for the School of Social Work, both at UBC Okanagan.
She is honoured to serve as a research affiliate with UBC’s AMP Lab and as a visiting scholar at SFU’s School of Interactive Arts and Technology (SIAT). Her creative lens is shaped by an interdisciplinary background in research creation, multimodal design, exhibition and experience design, and architecture. With bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture completed with distinction, she has strengthened her spatial and visual thinking. Drawing on her creative industry experience and passion for interdisciplinary research, she has contributed to visual and multimedia projects, designing spaces and interactive experiences that make complex research concepts accessible and engaging.
Sepideh was the exhibition designer and researcher for Waterways: Past, Present, and Future, which was showcased at five museums in British Columbia. She contributed to interpretive and interactive creative projects, such as Aga Khan Garden web application, Gardens Beyond Borders, and Visual Thoughts on Plastic Waste, which fostered critical engagement with heritage interpretation and visual storytelling for sustainability.
